Come Explore American History with Me

What are some of your favorite things in life? One of mine is exploring American history. I love reading and writing about it. By being able to study on my own, without the dictates of a classroom assignment, I have learned so many incredible things about this marvelous country, things today's textbooks choose to leave out. These are the types of subjects you will see addressed in my articles.

Please note, I don't wear blinders. I know the United States is not a perfect country, primarily due to the fact she is populated by individuals who are not perfect. At the same time, I sincerely believe no other country has done more to benefit the world than the USA. Many other countries have benefitted from her treasure, blood, innovations and humanitarian aide.

There are plenty of sites today that expound only the dark/negative events which have occurred during America's history in order to degrade this nation. These events occurred due to the dark/negative behaviors of those seeking self-gratification/fulfillment, with no concern for the results their actions would have on the lives of others. Achieving their hateful goal(s) is their sole focus.

My purpose for this blog is to elaborate on America's goodness.  It is my fervent belief God created the United States of America for a special purpose and He continues to have a need for her in His plans for this world. As you learn more about America - from reading my articles and your own personal research - you will begin to see His fingerprints all over this country - and a vast number of her citizens, both past and present.

Hold your head high and give thanks to God you are an American.

Billions throughout history would gratefully trade places with you were they able.

On a side note – for those who might be curious why my byline reads:

“God’s new constellation” . . .

On June 14, 1777, a declaration for the new flag of the United States was issued:

Resolved: that the flag of the United States be made of thirteen stripes, alternate red and white;

that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new Constellation.
